Motor Vehicle Standards (Cheaper Transport) Bill 2014

On 20 August 2015 the Senate referred the Motor Vehicle Standards (Cheaper Transport) Bill 2014 for inquiry and report by 28 October 2015.

The closing date for submissions is 26 October 2015. On 23 October 2015, the Senate granted an extension of time to report by 25 November 2015 .

About this inquiry

The bill proposes carbon emissions standards that certain manufacturers, importers or sellers of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles are required to meet as the average across their fleet.
