Following a referral on 17 March 2016 from the Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia, the Hon Josh Frydenberg MP, the Committee will inquire into the Northern Australia Infrastucture Facility Bill 2016 and report by 22 April 2016.

The Committee invited interested persons and organisations to make a submission addressing the Bill. Submissions were to be received no later than COB Thursday, 31 March 2016.

On 14 April 2016 the Committee presented out of session its Report titled: Advisory Report on the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility Bill 2016.
