Joint Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs

On 27 July 2022, the Joint Standing Committee on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs (JSCATSIA) was appointed to inquire into and report on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs. Matters may be referred to it by either the House of Representatives, the Senate or a Minister. In addition, the committee may inquire into annual reports of government departments and authorities, and reports of the Australian National Audit Office that refer to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs.

Committee membership comprises seven Members of the House of Representatives and four Senators.
