Crimes Legislation Amendment (Combatting Corporate Crime) Bill 2019

On 5 December 2019 the Senate referred the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Combatting Corporate Crime) Bill 2019 to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 19 February 2020. On 10 February 2020 the Senate extended the committee’s reporting date to 17 March 2020.

The deadline for submission to the inquiry is 13 January 2020.

About this inquiry

The bill would amend the Criminal Code and a number of other Acts to enhance the tools available to law enforcement and prosecutors to tackle corporate crime.
