Aged Care Amendment (Implementing Care Reform) Bill 2022

Dear President

On 28 July 2022, the Senate referred the provisions of the Aged Care Amendment (Implementing Care Reform) Bill 2022 to the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee (Committee) for inquiry and report. Submissions were sought by 12 August 2022 and the committee was due to report on 31 August 2022.

The Committee has received 34 submissions and held one public hearing on 25 August 2022.

The Committee recommends that the reporting date be extended to 2 September 2022 to enable it to conclude its deliberations.
