Declaration of interest
From 1994 to 2003 senators were
required to declare any relevant interest as soon as practicable after a
division was called for if the senator intended to vote in that division. The
abolition of this requirement does not prevent senators voluntarily doing so
(see also Chapter 6, Senators, under Pecuniary interests).
