Senate Select Committee on Regional and Remote Indigenous Communities

Community visits and tabled reports

The committee has concluded reporting under its terms of reference in the 42nd Parliament. The committee conducted site visits or public hearings in communities in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland. The committee's final report for the 42nd Parliament was tabled out of session on Friday, 24 September 2010. It is available, together with four previous reports, from the tabled reports section of this website.

The committee held a total of 17 public hearings. Of these, eight were conducted in regional and remote Indigenous communities. Additionally, the committee visited a further 13 communities and met with local organisations and individuals. Evidence provided to the committee is available via the links above, including submissions received and transcripts of public hearings.
