On 10 November 2016, the Senate referred the provisions of the Superannuation (Excess Transfer Balance Tax) Imposition Bill 2016 and the Treasury Laws Amendment (Fair and Sustainable Superannuation) Bill 2016 to the Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 23 November 2016.
