Apple and Pear Corporation Amendment Bill 1976
Date introduced: 18 November 1976
House: House of Representatives
Portfolio: Primary Industry
Summary
One provision of this Bill seeks to amend
the Australian Apple and Pear Corporation Act 1973 to provide for the
payment to the Corporation of all moneys (except fines) collected under
the Apple and Pear Levy Collection Act 1976 and the Apple and Pear Export
Charge Collection Act 1976 (clause 4). This is to replace the reference
in the Corporation’s Act to collection of moneys paid under the Apple
and Pear Export Charges Act 1938–1973 which is to be repealed.
The other provisions will change the auditing
and annual report provisions from a financial to a calendar year basis.
This is to correspond with the seasonal flow of receipts from the levy
on domestic sales.
